Nomblot wine tanks are manufactured in our workshops, by our own craftsmen, in order to concentrate all our know-how in these exceptional concrete tanks.
Our teams or, depending on the conditions, our rigorously selected subcontractors who are specialists in the field, take care of the routing, installation and postage of the concrete wine tanks. This, whether you are in France or located in the rest of the world.
The Nomblot concrete wine tanks arrive by truck and, once at their destination, our teams unload the wine tanks themselves. The transport and unloading of the new tank are designed according to its size and weight. We use several techniques and tools to ensure that these operations run smoothly, including cranes and forklifts. More exceptionally, we use the rolling method, which allows us to slide the vinification vat on metal logs, rolling bodies used by the Egyptians during the constructions, at the time of the pharaohs.
The concrete wine tank is then placed in the desired location and, taking into account the desired level in relation to the ground, it is positioned on concrete feet or plots. Regardless of the level at which it is placed, the wine tank remains perfectly stable. Indeed, even if a 3% slope is present on its inside, the outside face of this wine vat remains perfectly flat and horizontal.
The time required to install a concrete wine tank depends on the techniques used for this process as well as the size of the vat. On average, the simplest Nomblot concrete vat installation requires one hour of labor. More complicated installations can take up to half a day depending on the constraints encountered.
In France it is our Nomblot teams who most of the time take care of the installation of the concrete wine tanks at our customers' sites. However, in very rare cases, we may call upon qualified subcontractors, carefully selected by us, to install the wine vats.
In the case of export, the concrete tanks are sent in containers of 12 to 20 tons. Their transport and installation are then handled by subcontractors specialized in this field. We thus guarantee you the same quality of service as when installing a wine vat in France.
Once the installation of the concrete tank is finished, it is necessary to make its postage. This step consists of spraying the walls of the wine tank with a solution of tartaric acid, which creates a barrier between the pH of the cement and that of the wine. A quality postage requires 4 sprays of acid, each spaced a few hours or even a day apart.
